Pench National Park MP River back water side - semalt

It is located to the south of Satpura hills. It is named after the name of the river Pench which streams through this area. This is the 19th project tiger reserve in India and was affirmed in 1992.It has tropical moist deciduous forest. The prey concentration is highest along the banks of the river Pench. The Pench national park has a count of 8 tigers (as in 1998) and 7 panthers (as in 1998).this national park is rich with chitals i.e. axis or more commonly spotted deer. The name of Pench National Park was changed to "Indira Priyadarshini Pench National Park" in November 2002 Similarly the name of Pench Sanctuary has been changed to "Mowgli Pench Sanctuary". Basically This is the land that encouraged Rudyard Kipling to write that all-time favourite, "The Jungle Book" - walk through Pench and one can visualize Mowgli swinging through the trees and almost hear the roar of Sher Khan. Located on the border of Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Maharashtra, the Pench National Park is well-known for the profusion of flora and fauna found within the park as the varied species of wildlife. Named after the river that flows nearby, Pench was affirmed a Wildlife Sanctuary in 1983 and in 1992, Pench was included under the umbrella of "Project Tiger" as the 19th Project Tiger Reserve. The Pench Tiger Reserve located in the southern reaches of the Satpura hill ranges constituted in 1992 has a total area of 757.90 sq km out of which 292.86 sq km is the core area of the reserve, 118.30 sq km of Pench wildlife sanctuary & 346.7 sq km of area is the buffer zone. The forest cover belongs to the southern tropical moist teak & dry teak forests & the southern dry mixed deciduous forest. The ground is covered with a maze of grasses, plants bushes & saplings. Bamboo is restricted to some valleys, dazzling white kulu (sterculia urens) trees scattered around singly in the forest stand out conspicuously among the various hues of green. The animal species like Chital, sambhar, nilgai, wildboar & jackal are commonly seen. Leopard, sloth bear, wild dog, porcupine, jungle cat, fox, striped hyena, guar, chowsingha & barking deer are also found. The population of tigers as recorded in 2001 census is estimated at 40m number. Pench boasts of more than 250 species of birds including several migratory ones. Some of them are peafowl, jungle fowl, crow, pheasant, redvented bulbul, magpie robin, lesser whistling teal, pintail, shovellar, egrets & heron. The Pench National Park is open to visitors from early November to end of June each year and closed during the rainy season (July- October).HISTORY Pench forest is spread over Satpura mountain range in which other tiger reserves like Kanha National Park & Satpura National Parks are also situated. Its is a historical forest in which Rudyard Kipling's classic "The Jungle Book" is based. If we look the satellite pictures, we will notice that its forest is linked with Kanha Tiger Reserve and many time it is noticed that Kanha tigers have reached Pench national park. In past during British India, under mysterous circumstances some villagers near Seoni dis-appeared in forest. Col. W. H. Sleeman send a team from Jabalpur to the spot for investigation in which fact was revealed that a wolf gang is active their in which a human-boy was also gang member who lives like wolf and was later captured and put to human society but he didn't survived long. Mowgli character was inpired from that boy. That forest area was first declared as Pench Wildlife Sanctuary in year 1977. In 1983 it was declared as Pench National Park and later in year 1992 it was included as 19th Tiger Reserve of India under Project Tiger.Sitaghat: The spot is undoubtedly the prettiest location in Pench national park that takes you to the awesome bank of the river with rocks & artistic looking trees. It is must to visit the location either in the morning or in the evening has it has charm with sunrise & sunset. It’s a good spot for bird lovers as well.Alikatta: it is located in the center of the pench National park with mesmerizing grass land around & where one can spot any of the animals. However among few places that left in the country this is one of them, where every evening one can see the amazing spectacle of grazing flocks consisting of thousands of spotted deer. Where there are deer, there will be predators. So keep an eye open here. It is also the site from where the elephant rides initiate.Chhindimatta Road: It’s a boundary line between Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. During & after monsoon one can easily watch beautiful water birds & also an excellent area for spotting buzzards, eagles & hawks as well. This section is full of ups and downs over rocky hills although rest of the park is quite flat.Bodhanala range: The spot worth for those who love watching birds also called as a paradise for birds lover. A large number of migratory birds can also be seen here. -

Discovering Hanging Rock - Rudall River National Park WA - semalt

This video was shot on the 4th and 5th July, 2009 as we entered the remote Rudall River National Park from the west via Christie Crossing on the Oakover River. It had been my ambition to climb the rock but common sense (fear!) had overcome me on the previous occasions. It was a gloomy day when we arrived but undeterred, we sought a route and managed to clamber up the steep walls to the peak. Another ambition achieved. The next day we spent the morning searching for the approximately marked Hanging Rock Native Well. With none of the original custodians of the land relying on these ephemeral water supplies in modern times, they soon fill in with sand and are lost. We searched in grid patterns expanding out from the last recorded position finally finding an area we believe fitted the description. It was some several hundred metres to the south west but digging into the damp depression revealed very damp earth. The conditions were right and nothing else of a similar ilk revealed itself so were counting our search as a success. AWESOME Underground River Tour in Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park - semalt

Come see us at our tropical vacation beach resort!http://badladz.comThere many beautiful places in the world, whether they are artificially made or a work of nature. But if you really want to see one of the real wonders of the world, come to the Philippines. Visit the famous underground river and you get to actually see one of the official seven wonders of the world! No need to watch a 7 wonders of the world documentary on television, you can experience one here in the Philippines! If you like to watch a caves documentary or really like exploring deep caves or exploring underwater caves, then this trip in the Philippines will get you so excited you might fall off the boat! Exploring underwater caves will allow you to see how water gradually shapes a cave over a thousand years, how each wave of water makes a difference if constantly repeated. If you're looking for something incredibly unique and fun to do in the Philippines, hop on a quick 1 hour flight from Manila airport to the island of Palawan. Not far from the city of Puerto Princesa there is something you will see almost no where else on Earth. A river flows underground through a cave that is ultimately 24km long. And you can tour it! Located with the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, the underground river can be navigated up to 4km from the entrance of the cave, but the normal boat tour is around 45 minutes inside the cave. Inside the cave are stalactites and stalagmites, incredible rock formations, and even a 20 million year old Sirenia fossil embedded in the cave wall. Sirenians are the ancestors of the modern manatee, dugong, and other "sea cows". One of the most exciting things about the Underground River is that it was officially declared one of the "New 7 Wonders of Nature" in January 2012. The park is very protected and cave expedition visitors are limited to preserve the area. Make sure you plan ahead so you can check out a strange adventure if you visit Palawan in the Philippines! You'll see the cave animals (mainly bats) zipping around us as we go cave exploring.More info http://www.puerto-undergroundriver.comtags: Underground river, tour, Puerto PrincesaBadladz Dive Resort Muelle Pier, Puerto Galera 5203, Philippines+63 43 287 3184   +63 919 577 2823   +63 920 955 6410 (Mobile) ‎http://badladz.comBadladz Beach Resort Small Tabinay Beach, Puerto Galera 5200, Philippines+63 43 287 3693   +63 919 577 2823   +63 920 955 6410 (Mobile) ‎http://badladz.com-~-~~-~~~-~~-~-Learn about: "BADLADZ Beach Resort in Puerto Galera Philippines" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dgNM2...-~-~~-~~~-~~-~- -

Photos from the day can been seen at https://www.flickr.com/photos/rawphil...Lagodekhi is in the far east of Georgia and is there nearest town (only 4km) to the main board crossing with Azerbaijan. It is also the main town for the Lagodekhi National Park and Nature Reserve nestled at the foot of the Greater Caucasus Mountains.More information about it all can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lagodekhihttp://www.ugogeorgia.com/lagodekhi-n...http://info-georgia.blogspot.com/2013...I was gifted a GoPro head strap by a kind American cycling couple and this was my first time trying it out. Needless to say I realise it is not the best for when walking and don't worry I won't be using it again but thought I would include the footage anyway. -

Rocky Mountain National Park - Fall River Rd Timelapse - semalt

Old Fall River Road earned the distinction of being the first auto route in Rocky Mountain National Park offering access to the park's high country. In the minds of many park visitors, the relatively subtle old route remains foremost. Unlike Trail Ridge Road, which is well known for being the highest continuous paved road in the nation, the Old Fall River Road is a much more "motor nature trail."http://www.nps.gov/romo/planyourvisit...Primarily gravel, one-way uphill and punctuated by switchbacks, slower-paced, 11-mile-long. The old road quietly leads travelers from Horseshoe Park (a short distance west of the Fall River Entrance) through the park's wilderness to Fall River Pass, 11,796 feet above sea level. The journey to the alpine world at the top of Old Fall River Road is relaxing. The experience is one to be savored. The posted speed limit is 15 miles per hour, a clear indication that a journey up Old Fall River Road is not for the impatient. There are no guard rails along this road. The road itself is safe, but narrow and curved. In places, the trees of the montane and subalpine forests are so close that motorists can touch them. Old Fall River Road is ideal for visitors seeking to become intimate with nature. The road follows a route traveled long ago by Indian hunters, who came to the park area in search of its abundant game. Early in the trip, travelers pass the alluvial fan scoured out by the 1982 Lawn Lake Flood and the site of a labor camp that housed state convicts who worked on the road project. For these men, crime did not pay. The laborers were forced to build the three-mile stretch of road to the scenic respite of Chasm Falls with no more than hand tools at their disposal. After passing Willow Park, where elk often are seen feeding on the foliage, the road enters the alpine tundra. Awaiting there is the Fall River Cirque, birthplace of glaciers that once worked their way up and down the mountain valleys. The road traverses the headwall of this amphitheater-like formation before joining Trail Ridge Road near the Alpine Visitor Center at Fall River Pass. Ahead lie the wonders of Trail Ridge Road, which leads travelers east to Estes Park or southwest to Grand Lake. Behind is Old Fall River Road, that winding old route that offers travelers a taste of auto travel in days gone by and a look at Rocky Mountain's nature close-up. Old Fall River RoadAdvisory Note: OLD FALL RIVER ROAD WILL BE CLOSED IN 2014.Endovalley Road and Old Fall River Road are open to pedestrian traffic only. The Roaring River Bridge is washed out, so visitors must cross through the stream - caution is advised and the water is COLD! Bicycles and pets on leashes are not permitted past the barricade on the road. The Old Fall River Road was the only road to Fall River Pass until Trail Ridge Road was built in the early 1930s. Today it is a one-way dirt road that runs between Endovalley and the Pass. It is narrow and has many switchbacks, but it is a beautiful and safe drive. -

Virgin River - Zion National Park, Utah (1080p HD) - semalt

The Virgin River is a tributary of the Colorado River in the U.S. states of Utah, Nevada, and Arizona. The river is about 162 miles long. It was designated Utah's first wild and scenic river in 2009, during the centennial celebration of Zion National Park. The river is named for Thomas Virgin, a member of the first American party to see it, led by Jedediah Smith in 1826. Smith named it "Adams River", after then-president John Quincy Adams, but later explorer and mapmaker John C. Fremont gave it its current name. After the Smith party successfully descended the river on the way to California, Thomas Virgin was badly wounded in an attack by Mohave people during the crossing of the Mojave Desert. Virgin recovered from his wounds but was later killed, along with most of Smith's companions, in an attack by Umpqua people (in present-day Oregon). -

ELLA FITZGERALD - CRY ME A RIVER - semalt

Steven Wagner - Stevan Vagner, Podrum COLLEGIUM MELODIUM, World music museum in Belgrade, PEDJA and LJUBICA JOVICEVIC, present, Cry Me a Rive, an American jazz song that was in 1953. Written by Arthur Hamilton. The article is dedicated to a former lover / s who unsuccessfully tried to reconcile after their love left. It was written for Ella Fitzgerald, but in 1955. First and most famous recorded version of Julie London. Its use in the film The Girl Can not Help It from in 1956. Thought it was a big hit. A jazzy blues ballad, "Cry Me a River" was originally written for Ella Fitzgerald to sing in the 1920s-set film, Pete Kelly's Blues (released 1955), but the song was dropped. Fitzgerald first released a recording of the song on Clap Hands, Here Comes Charlie! in 1961. The song was also offered to Peggy King, but Columbia Records A&R chief Mitch Miller objected to the word "plebian" in the lyric[1] and its first release was by actress/singer Julie London on Liberty Records in 1955, backed by Barney Kessel on guitar and Ray Leatherwood on bass. A performance of the song by London in the 1956 film The Girl Can't Help It helped to make it a bestseller (reaching nr. 9 on US and nr. 22 on UK charts). London's recording was later featured in the soundtracks for the movies Passion of Mind (2000), and V for Vendetta (2005).Subsequent covers include a version by Barbra Streisand on her 1963 debut album as the opening track of Side 1. In 1970, British rocker Joe Cocker made the chart with an upbeat rock rendition on the album, Mad Dogs and Englishmen. In 1995, British actress Denise Welch's double A-side "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me" / "Cry Me a River" spent three weeks in the UK Singles Chart, reaching #23. Canadian jazz pianist and singer Diana Krall recorded the song on her 2001 album, The Look of Love. In 2009, Canadian singer Michael Bublé entered the charts with a big-band jazz version, which is also the opening track of his fourth album Crazy Love. This adaption of the song was used in the BBC's advertising for, and theme music for coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. -
